Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a kart racing game by Nintendo that was released in April 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, as an upgrade to Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U. The game also has a larger roster of familiar Nintendo characters, 48 base courses and the popular Battle Mode, which is completely overhauled with dedicated arenas.
With the Booster Course Pass DLC, the entire collection increased to 96 tracks, featuring classic tracks from throughout the franchise’s history. It currently holds the 2nd position on the top 5 Switch games list, and is one of the most played and popular Switch games of all time.
