DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is a fighting game made by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released on October 11 2024 for PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game will also be available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 14 2025.
This game is the main Budokai Tenkaichi game. Fans have been waiting for it since the release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in 2007. DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO has over 180 fighters from DRAGON BALL Z, DRAGON BALL Super, DRAGON BALL GT and some DRAGON BALL movies. Each fighter has their special moves, transformations and techniques.
The battles happen in arenas that get destroyed when players fight. The arenas react to what players do. Players can do beam clashes, rush attacks and huge ultimate attacks like in the anime. DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO was a success selling over 3 million copies on its first day. By February 2025 it had sold 5 million copies. It is the selling DRAGON BALL game, in the US.
